Apple launches Clips as it bids for a slice of the Snapchat action https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2017/apr/07/apple-launches-clips-as-it-bids-for-a-slice-of-the-snapchat-action Summary: " App enables creative camera tomfoolery that Snapchat does so well, but without attached social network"  " Cloning Snapchat is the new brunch, which is the new black.  Facebook did it , Instagram did it, even WhatsApp did it. But even so, it’s surprising today to see that Apple’s done it too."  A new app by Apple is cloning snapchat but in a different way to the others. Apple understands that social media isn't their biggest strength so there isn't a social media platform to the app. Light clips that are easy to make compared to imovie feature which is always easier on laptops so an app that creates something good to post on other social medias. Case study: Everyday Sexism

1) Why did Laura Bates start the Everyday Sexism project? 'you can't solve a problem a problem you don't know exists' so raising awareness is very important about the things that happen everyday but are normalised by society so we don't see them as a problem. She noticed it was an issue when she faces several cases of harassment in one week with no one finding it odd or helping her when she needed it. Then when she spoke to various people about the problem she found that everyone faced these issues but no one spoke out about them, because in their heads they were never issues to begin with.  2) How does the Everyday Sexism project link to the concept of post-feminism? Is feminism still required in western societies? The project highlights the sheer importance of feminism in today's society, how protests etc. cannot change what society encourages.
