Reddit CEO admits he edited Trump supporters' comments on social networkredditcar.jpg

Summary:
"'I shouldn’t play such games, and it’s all fixed now,' Steve Huffman told the Donald Trump supporting community"
Reddit boss admits to deleting comments from a Donald Trump-supporting community on his site. ""fuck u/spez", he changed the name to those of the managers of the subreddit – essentially meaning that any criticism was altered so that it lookde like it was being made towards the subreddit's own moderators."
He said it so he could " "troll the trolls"."
However the false news story on Hillary Clinton and campaign chairman John Podesta committed acts of child abuse in a pizza restaurant in Washington, DC was promoted by many people across the internet, including those on Reddit. They tried to intervine with the story and got a though time from Trump supporters because of this.

My opinion:
Its pretty bad that he tried to change the comments because it defeats the purposes of freedom of speech but it wasn't a detrimental audience controlling move so im not really opposed to the act but it does show that individuals in power have the ability to manipulate what we wouldn't think could be manipulated in that way - least we know the media will call them out for it though.
But i do think it was a good move by reddit to try to take down the story something many other social media sites didn't bother addressing and are rumored that is the reason the elections turned out the way they did.
